"Lois and Marion, A Literary and Visual Legacy" celebrates
the life of Lois O"Connor and Marion Wesp, a journalist and a
photographer. Lois wrote columns for the Ithaca Journal and was active
in many branches of community affairs including appointment as County
Historian. Marion was an award-winning photographer who, among other
subjects, took particularly interesting stop-motion images of modern
dancers. They lived as a couple in Tompkins County for 42 years, sharing
creative work and many friendships until separated by Marion’s death
in 1974.
The exhibit will be on view from April 4 through
August 4, 2008.
