The History Center presents:
Focus on Quilting
I. Piecing Together
History, an on-going quilt exhibit
Piecing Together History is a collaborative preservation
project between The History Center and the Tompkins County Quilter’s
Guild. Members from the guild are unpacking each of THC 80+ quilts,
documenting the object’s history, noting any conservation issues,
photographing, and then refolding and packing the quilts into archival
storage boxes. The project will culminate in the winter of 2009 with
an exhibit of THC’s finest quilts.
