Meet the Sewing Machine - An Introduction w/ Cady Fontana

WHEN: Thursday March 16th - 4:30-5:30pm

WHERE: Tompkins County Public Library - MakerSpace - 101 E. Green St. Ithaca NY 14850

Join Makerspace Librarian Cady for a introductory class about sewing machines! In this lecture style class Cady will go over the parts and functions of a modern sewing machine, show how to thread and prepare to sew, and the basics of machine sewing. You may then choose to stay for open hours at 5:30PM, or return another day to sew at the Makerspace. This is an excellent "first touch" for folks who haven't sewed on a machine or may feel intimidated to do so. You can sew!

Free, registration appreciated but not required.
