A look at the carver Jonas Stewart, 2nd (aka Coffin Man), his apprentices "Open Urn" and "Eclectic Man" in NY & PA. This journey also includes the Stewart/Stuart family of gravestone carvers in VT, NH and MA. There is also a look at other gravestone carvers in Central NY including J. Crandall. She focuses on the stories, skills, and creativity of five gravestone carvers with examples of their work.
