In a seminar setting, we hope to stir conversation about local history in general, the particular interests of the participants, and to talk about the issues involved with doing the history of our own place. We discuss issues dealt with in editorials and other writings by Carol Kammen in History News and H: Local History online, and in English local history journals. Our goal is to provide a place to talk about local history projects, to aid each other in how to progress on those projects, and uses for the completed projects, be they in word, on video, or in poetry.  The expectation is that participants attend all five sessions in-person.

The program is open to all free of charge — including all course materials.
