2025 Opening Reception for Trains, Planes, and Automobiles

Please join us for the grand opening of our exhibit, "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles: Buses, Boats, and Bikes." 

Grand Opening Schedule – February 7, 2025:

  • 10:00 AM – Exhibit opens to the public.
  • 5:00-8:00 PM – Gallery Night in Downtown Ithaca.
  • 6:15 PM – Public Reception with Musical Living History Performance

Opening Reception

To celebrate the creation of a new exhibit exploring the storied past of how-we-get-places we invite you a preview performance of the "THE AWFUL WRACK of the FRONTENAC and the COWARDICE of MEN." This living history musical performance tells the story of a 1907 maritime disaster that took place on Cayuga Lake, featuring singer/songwriter Ted Walsh with unexpected appearance of the Lost Survivor/Orphan News Boy. Lifejackets optional.
